Calling all Fleet Captains, past, present, and future

We need you!

We have an exciting change coming for Opening Day, May 3^rd, 2025. We are moving to the Vancouver Waterfront.

The intent of this change is to increase public visibility and participation. This isn’t a trivial matter. We need your participation.

Please plan to participate in the first two of however many meetings we need to achieve success on October 10^th and the 19^th.  Please also encourage members of your club to come out with us. Obviously, the more boats we get out the better to expose strengths and weaknesses of our plan.

On October 10^th we will meet via zoom to refine our plan of execution of the parade and for anyone who has concerns or ideas to weigh in. This will be primarily a Fleet Captain’s meeting, but others are welcome. The meeting will be facilitated to keep on track and meet our objectives. The objectives are to go over staging, transitioning from staging into formation ahead of the review area, moving through the review area and then dispersing. We will also identify where we will stage, where the review area and judges will be and the route from staging through dispersal.

October 19^th will be a practice run to test drive and refine our plan.

We will take what we learn from you in the planning meeting and the trial run to refine and finalize the parade route and execution.
